I currently have comcast cable internet short any cable tv. There is only one cable inlet coming outside from my house (but in attendance are multiple cable slots inside the house). I would like to install Dish Network and share the single cable near my cable provider. Can I do this without drilling holes and calculation a new cable electrical system.
Answers:
No
You cannot combine the cable company signal with the satellite signal on impossible to tell apart cable. It would result in degraded signal for both.
You will not know how to use the existing wiring for satellite because it is loop wired .You entail individual lines for each satellite beneficiary so you will need current cables run for respectively.
Yes if you will have singular one Dish receiver. You would inevitability two diplexers to accomplish this. One would be used outside to combine the signal from the dish and the signal from comcast onto the one cable you have. Another would be used somewhere surrounded by the house to seperate the signals back to two cable, one to your modem, the other to your receiver. There can not be any cable splitters contained by the line between these diplexers.
