Whats a better hdtv Phillips or Sanyo?
Answers: For Fecomosis to utter Samsung is a low end piece of unwanted items is laughable. Out of the Philips and Sanyo I would go next to Philips.
For LCDs I would look at Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, and Sharp.
For Plasmas I would look at Panasonic and Pioneer.
You price range would probably hold you looking at LCDs from Toshiba and Sharp.

Samsung HDTVs are the best hands down, as a situation of fact I a moment ago bought an LN-T4665F from digitaldealz.net for a short time over 2k, which was a steal over the local electronics stores which be typically close to $700 more, and that was back tax and confinement. Digitaldealz.net did not charge excise and shipping was free.
But if I have to choose between the Sanyo or Philips, I would go next to Philips.

i have a sanyo. but i dont really approaching it... probley because im obsessed next to sony.. and its my only electronic thats not a sony i get it for my birthday. but its a good tv. but i dont know nearly phillips of samsung...
