Have a rca 61" projection tv and the sound keeps going static.?

It is 4 yrs old and connected directly to rogers pvr and a dvd player. once a day it happens - just out of nowhere sound goes static. Only way to fix is shut power off and reboot everything. connected by audio in/out cables right now.

Answer:
If you just unplug the TV and it goes away there is a mod to the TV that can fix it. Call a local service center to see if they know about it. I fixed many with the mod.
SOunds like the speakers are shot.
would suspect a thermal problem/overload. Set is experiencing a short/ overload, and the audio IC is going into shutdown, cutting the tv off and back on resets this overload. could be a simple capacitor in the circuit. It would be worth having it checked out.
