My big screen TV is making a high pitched noise. Some channels make it worse and it's happening faster now.

I have satellite connection.We can't watch a whole program.This is a problem and it's driving my family NUTS!

Answer:
It sounds like the flyback transformer is going bad. What happens is the winding inside of the transformer start to vibrate after it warms up. It can sometimes be fixed by taking it out and repotting it, thats basically pouring glue inside of it. But more than likely it will need to be replaced. It's a job for a professional because the flyback transformer is used to supply the high voltage to the picture tube(s). Usually 10000 volts or more. So it's kinda dangerous if you don't know what to do.

you need to get it serviced. It is either a yoke ( not egg) going bad or bad coil in the transformer of the power supply. Either way it is not user serviceable.
