I want to use a TV/PC monitor screen what should i consider?

I want to replace my crt pc monitor with a TV/PC monitor screen what should i consider? i see the following t/v have a resolution of 1280 x 768? is that good and is it the basis of making such a decision? here are the models am looking at but i have now idea what to look for as the determining factors/s.
