Plasma or lcd for a tv?

i'm looking to get a new tv the day after thanksgiving ( cheaper that way). looking for a tv that will give me the best color and life span.

Answer:
Depends on screen size, your budget, and your primary use(s). To help you decide, start with reading: www.Plasmatvbuyingguide.com; and

"Generally," life span is about the same and color is better with plasma. This is not always true, however.
LCD is leading the way over Plasma. ... and Sony makes the best LCDs. Start going to stores now and compare the picture on the Sonys to those on other LCDs. You'll see the difference. I've been checking the LCD pictures since the Sony Bravia was introduced.
if your looking for smaller 1s lcd, bigger plasma. i think lcd has better color and life span
