What is the best 42in plasma tv?
Answer:
Read the pro reviews! Anecdotal opinions won't give you much basis to buy.
"Probably," the top performer is Pioneer, at a dear cost for "some" added performance. For dollar value, look at the 2006 Panasonic plasma models now being closed out.
See the 3/07 Consumer Reports HDTV article and on-line reviews at: www.PlasmaTVBuyingGuide.com, to help you decide.

Pioneer defiantly as far as cost goes its worth it, it was £2499 6mths ago now its £1199 (comet) don't buy the new panasonic cuz there is about half an inch between the screen and the glass and you get a reflection of whats on the screen if your not sat at the right angle, go and take a look at them both at comet or Curry's
the Panasonic Th-42pH9UK & you also can get a free 5yr warranty. an outstanding monitor. the picture is truly awesome - also i'm a proud owner of 1 myself.
There is no such thing as a good Plasma TV. They all are having things go wrong already, and likewise the DLP. So, go with LCD HDTV( With built in HD tuner, not HD ready ) Sony Bravia, with two HDMI in puts & two USB ports.
I`ve got a 42 inch plasma but they are that new that no`one has owned one long enough to judge. The main thing is don`t leave it on when you are not watching it as the screens have a limited life. I think it`s about 22,000 hours.
