How can I get better reception on my TV?
Answer:
You might try an amplified indoor antenna -- these are the type that you plug into a wall outlet to boost the signal strength. But it would be better to get one locally from a store with a good return policy. That way you can test it out at home to be sure it works where you will be using it.
I live in a rural area and can only get one channel off the air with a regular antenna well enough to watch, but several more using an amplified antenna.
Decent ones will probably run you $30 - $75 last time I checked.
Without cable your only choice is to get an indoor antenna
and Radio Shack probably is your best bet. Try one and see how it works if it doesn't return it and try a different one. You should find one that works fairly well.
Calm down Luisa. The other poster is only telling you to look into an indoor antenna that has a pre-amp built in to pull in the signals as oppose to Rabbit ears. The Dynamic type have a little more gain than a coat hanger or rabbit ears. Rabbit ears antennas are only good if the station transmitting antenna is in your line of sight or very close by. Adding a pre-amp to that antenna adds additional signal gain to strengthen the input signal. You asked a question and we're trying to help you. No need to call people names.
