It's one piece of chalice....and if it's glass, a Q-Tip and some toothpaste rubbed on minor scratch can make them invisible....Rub for 15 to 40 minutes, and put in toothpaste as needed....Colgate or Plain Gleem Paste has ample abrasives to polish the scratch...

if it is newly a scratch and the eyeshade is shiny u may be able to rub it out next to something like DISPLEX.
If it is frosted looking approaching most LCD monitors that won't work.
otherwise it depends on the construction and if u can just swap out the top echelon.
If it requires the whole eyeshade to be replaced get a current TV.
The electronics are trival to the screen.
