The tv is in my room and this morning at about 5 AM I heard a high pitched ringing noise and realized it was coming from my tv. I unplugged the tv but it still didnt stop. The tv has had no power to it for about 9 hours and the ringing hasn't changed at all. Any ideas what I can do? It is not coming from my speakers, but from the back of the tv (not a flat screen)

You mean it rings even when there is no power applied? WOW that is weird. If the set rings only when plugged in and turned on, the flyback is probably vibrating against it's core. If it happens even with the set off, but AC power still applied, the SMPS transformer in vibrating against it's core. If it is happening even if the power is not applied, you got me!
Insignia is the cheapest, crappiest name in all of home electronics. If the TV is over 6 months old, you've gotten a bargain for having it work that long. Go TV shopping, and spend a few more bucks on a name-brand to save you from having to buy a new TV every year. To have your current TV fixed would cost more than it's worth anyway.
