I have a Hitachi tv, HD as expected, and the DVR dual-tuner digital cable box for Comcast. For some reason, adjectives the HD channels come within with a gray letterbox as unwilling black. Is there a passageway I can change this? The gray letterbox is distracting and I'd resembling to switch it to black so it could help blend easier.
Answers: The gray is within to protect your TV from burn-in. Your HD should be full 16:9 screen. Either your cable box or TV settings are wrong. You should merely be seeing this from 4:3 TV or DVDs that are wider than 16:9. Even in those case3s, you probably hold settings that fill the peak, although with some distortion or overscan.
