Should I buy a 30'' Samsung 'Slim-Fit' HDTV?

I am considering buying a 30'' 'Slim-Fit' HDTV for $250 by Samsung for my dorm room to replace my 19'' Crapbox with VHS from someone on Craigslist.

What does 'Slim-Fit' connote?
What is an HDMI Input? - Can I recieve HDTV signals?

Yah

Answers:    If it were me, I would not buy the Samsung for the simple reality that it is a Samsung. "Slim-Fit" is the same as a flat panel contained by all the other Tv brands, Samsung basically tries to be clever. HDMI is the High Definition input that most of the newer TV's are using. It is a small cable that carries the HD signal plus the nouns. The older DVI inputs with the sole purpose had the HD signal near no sound. With this demanding TV you will be able to receive HD signals, but single if you have an HD source.
produce sure it says HDTV on it, but if it have HDMI input you should be good...sounds close to a good deal
