Why am I getting a lot of white dots on my plasma tv?

I guess the white dots are referred to as "trash" and its because the quality of the plasma screen can pick up more than a regular tv. Is there a way to stop this?

Answer:
You are going to get that whenever you watch a non HD channel. You may need to get an hd cable box or antenna if you don't already have one. If you watch the HD channels and still see the white dots, then you may have a bad tv.
Not good at all. Take it in for service!!
Try a different channel, some channels if over the air can get noise into the signal.
