700:1 contrast ratio?

i play xbox 360 a lot!! im going to achieve an HDTV this christmas but i dont have much money.. Is 700:1 contrast ratio virtuous for a 26" tv??

Answers:    Its not the best, i have a 26" within my bedroom, that is 1800:1, though my brother have a 800:1 26" and the difference is barely visible at a decent distance away.
Our big *** TV contained by the living room is 20,000:1, though that is usually found with the sole purpose on the larger TVs.
One thing to be warn about is when im playing the xbox next to mates we are just about 2 feet away from the peak, on a lesser trait TV that might be a pretty big issue if your that close. blurring and ghosting is much more obvious at close reach.
Do you mind saying your budget? its kl if, i think the solely way you could want is finding a shop with the tv and in fact trying it out at different distances, and comparing it to better qualities.
as long as i.e. its native contrast ratio, its ok for a TV that size.
