I hold purple on the lower right paw corner of my picture tube?



Answers:    Switch set off at wall and will off for 20 mins afterwards switch on again . Should be ok now except repeat a couple of times.
The above procedure forces the sets auto degauss to operate .
Auto degauss does not operate from standby on most sets.

looks like someone get a little too close near something magnetic...speakers to hand tv perhaps?
