Mitsubishi big screen no picture... but sound?

Mitsubishi sets are noted for their capacitors failing. Especially in the P-I-P section. It sounds like your PIP module is flaked out on you, since you still have OSD. I have repaired many sets with this trouble.
check the cable between your cable box/antenna. there probably is a loose connection.
You did not say what your input source is, all the items that appear are internally generated by the tv, have you tried your dvd, or vhs player? I suggest this because many of the new tv's may rec. pic input from one source and not another indicating that a particular board has failed. for example you may be feeding a pic from a sat. rec. thru HDMI and it works while if you try feeding the signal thru a coaxial cable it may not work indicating that the coaxial cable connection board has failed. since the set has several input options you should try them all. This would isolate the source of the problem. As with the older analog sets the tuner might fail to let you change channels, while if you use a VHS as a tuner you can still get the set to function.
