Sound go out on my tv--any philosophy?

My Toshiba tv suddenly stopped audio the other night. The volume is up, mute is bad, I've gone through all of the buttons, reset everything, etc., but the nouns is definitely out. It go out in the middle of a show next to no fanfare--it just acted as if a mute button have been pushed. As a concern of fact, I originally thought I'd accidentally sit on the remote and muted it (I hadn't).
Any thoughts or ideas? It's driving me nuts and at hand are a couple of shows I'd like to examine! Thanks!!

Answers:    If the unplugging it trick didn't work, and you want to keep the TV, plug within a receiver and 2 speakers. You can find such for beneath $100 on Craigslist and the sound will be much better than it be. This is God telling you to capture a surround sound system.
HIT YOU MUTE BUTTON
alright i guess you should talk to any services close to comcast or somthing because they will give you direction. talk to a mechanic or a really handy neighbor. luck!
that happen to my husband and I....we unplugged the tv for the night and surrounded by the morning it was fine.
Have you tried turning it rotten, unplugging it, waiting a few seconds, plugging it stern in and turning it subsidise on?

If that doesn't work, I agree with the previous poster. Maybe the TV have overheated in some process and needs to cool down.
