Is 1440x900 true 720p?

Is 1440x900 true 720p? If not, what resolutions are "true" 720p?

Also, what is a "good" contrast ratio for a 20" screen? Is 800:1 suitable?

Answers:    that's is the no of pixel that avail on your LCD pane.
Well that no is greater than 1280x720 so it must be capable n displaying 720p signal.
800:1 is typical not great but I think it's OK. You can't expect giant contrast ratio on small size.
Here's the official text is

Where your numbers come from I haven't a clue.
720p means 1280x720 resolution. You will never find a TV or computer monitor beside this exact resolution. The video resolution describes the vertical resolution.

800:1 is pretty good. It's not bleak, but it's not the best. The good LCD screen are 1000:1 or more.
