What is the difference between NTSC, PAL, AUTO and whats best ? cheers?

Answers:    PAL (phase alternate line ) is the European standard for encoding analog colour TV signals , 625 lines 50 frames a second.
NTSC is the US standard 525 lines 60 frames a second.

As for Auto in attendance may be some TVs that can automatically set up for either.

PAL give better colour registration.
Sounds like you hold a mutli national set.

PAL is outside NORTH AMERICA and JAPAN, Europe and to a degree ASIA (actually ASIA is SECAM).

PAL is greater resolution but less channel.

It is 625 lines at 50 fields per second

NTSC is American (most of South America and ALL of North America) and Japan it is lower resoltuion and more channles

525 lines at 60 field per second.

AUTO probably adjusts to any as required.

So, basically, it manner you can probably take your TV set anywhere surrounded by MOST of the world and get fail-safe TV, except in Arabia, China, Russia, France and some Baltic nation.

They use SECAM and you can probably view it but lone in black and white

For a VIDEO camera it way you can go anywhere and it adjust as requried (AUTO)
