What do I need to record my TV screen?

Other than VHS. I need something that will record onto a DVD (or any other type of CD?) compatible with my computer's burner. I would be mostly using it to record video games (PS2, 360) for random stuff, like tutorials or montages (Mainly Gears of War montages). So what exactly do I need to do this? Where can I get it?
