What will the feature be approaching on a 40" hd in position tv?
Answers: make sure your chosen tv have a built in digital tuner (mine have Sony w2500) and it will be fine. Just don't expect too much, you will probably notice (as my kids do) that the aspect looks poorer than your old tv, this will be the suitcase until hd becomes the norm. It is down to the size of the peak and nothing else, and the picture transmitted is for a smaller CRT small screen with a lower resoultion.
Hope this help
An HD ready TV does not include a tuner. It must be driven by a cable box, sit receiver or set top heir in command to receive TV. A TV with an ATSC tuner will produce excellent HDTV from over the upper air broacasts provided the signal is relatively strong and there are not strong reflection off of close by obstacles approaching tall buildings.
You will NEED any an HD/Digital cable box or an HD satellite receiver , surrounded by order to find an HD image on the eyeshade. HD-Ready means it have NO built in HD-Tuner, but those boxes I mentioned both do, so if you own one of those two things, and upgrade to HD cable, you will get the HD portrait just fine.
