My Freeview box gives a pixellated image - how can I cure it?

The TV is in a back room so the antenna cable is rather long. Is there any way of boosting the signal? I get the programme guide OK but the pictures are heavily pixellated.

Answer:
First thing - are you in a poor reception area? Second - do you have an old aerial? Third - check your connections. Long cables cause signal strength loss - a signal booster compensates for that. Check out the web links below for more details.
buy a signal booster from argos.
try a powered indoor antenna too...
Either your tv antenna isn't one for a digital tv, you live in an area where reception is poor, so therefore you need either a new areal or a booster box, or sometimes this can be caused by weather conditions. I live by the sea, and everytime a ship passes, our signal goes funny or goes off altogether, then we just have to wait untill the ship has gone passed. When we have bad weather, our signal goes off, when we have hot weather the signal goes off, so we are not having much luck with it really, but the thing is, it always happens when i am watching my fave prog. IT'S NOT FAIR !
try unplugging then plugging back the power cable.
