Plasma Compatabilty ...?

with dvds/ vcrs do I inevitability a blue ray or ANY special dvd /vcr to use beside plasma or can i use current dvd/ vcr

Answers:    Plasma TV's will work just fine near any of yur peripherals. Using a VCR with an HD status LCD or PDP would be a bit crazy. The native resolution of a Video cassette is about 80,000 pixels, an HDTV can display 1,000,000 pixels!

Convetional DVD resolution is 850x480, smaller amount than typical HDTV resolution of 1280x720. To get maximum fidelity, you'd want a Blue-Ray or HD-DVD player. As these are unmarked formats and there is little movie content however available, I'd simply wait and delight in conventional DVD's on a good Plasma TV. The set will go up the content to it's higher home-grown resolution. You might be pleasantly surprised how much better it looks.
