I bought a new 52' Sony, but I would approaching to fix the Hitachi TV and give it to my g/f. It is an elder 50' Hitachi Ultravision, several years old, model # 50sbx78b. The green power frothy will come on briefly, then walk out. There is no picture or sound at adjectives. What components could it be, I thought power supply, and where could I bring these? Thanks for everyones input.

It's not the power supply: it's the main morhter board. It might hold experienced a power surge. Generally these boards are pretty expensive. Open up your tv and try one thing first: see if the power button is connected properly to the mortherboard. If it is, you'll stipulation a new one.
You can also hail as local TV stores that still specialize in fixing tv's. Good luck.
