What's the best LCD TV model for less than $1000?
Answer:
I've found by far, the 37" Westinghouse LVM-37w1 to be the very best entry level monitor that you can get. I purchased mine for $999.99.
The good: True 1080p resolution (1920x1080), Good colour and sharpness, Tons of inputs.
The bad: No HDMI, no HD tuner.
I would stay away from brands that are not well known or have a bad repair history.
I work in a Consumer Electronics store and we sell Sony, Toshiba, and Panasonic, as well as JVC.
Our top seller in the 32" is the Sony but they are a little over 1000.00. Both Panasonic (TC-32LX70) and Toshiba (32HL67) price out at the MAP price of $999.00. Both are great sets. The Panasonic has 1 advantage in that in the aspect choices it has what is called Justified. What that does is it leaves the center of the picture the same size and only stretches the outside edges of the picture so there is not as much distortion as you see when you go to full screen on non hd pictures.
