Can I fix this myself?

My television set likes to change channels by itself. I think this is from years of toddlers pushing the channel buttons. It's very annoying when I'm trying to watch something and the channel changes itself to "input 1".

Answer:
You can try this, It can't hurt.
Get some WD-40 and spray a small amount around the edge of the button. It sounds as if it is sticking or it could have dust in it. WD-40 will not short anything.
