I'm looking for a new TV. Any ideas??

My family needs a new TV. (I'm underage so, yes, I live with my parents). My mom and I were looking at some on the internet today. But there's so many different kinds, we're not sure what to get. Our price range is really no more than around $500. Although if the quality seems good, we might make an exception.

So does anyone have any tips on what we can look for?

Answer:
bestbuy.com they have nice TVs in your price range.
You are not indicating what type and size tv you're looking for; but, for what it's worth I'd say check out Circuit City they usually have specials that are unadvertised. In addition, if there's a "Craig's List" in your area you can get some unbelievable deals that way.
samsungs slimfit tv would be your best option. you can get one for roughly 600. it's wide screen and has two hdtv tuners, if you don't get an hd your parents are wasting your money.
LCD Westinghouse 27 in. for 500. to 600. at Best Buy. Happy with mine.
Since it's income tax time your going to find all kinds of bargains
For instance; Best Buy, Circuit City, H & H Gregg & Sam Clubs, BJ Wholesales and Funiture store in your neighborhood. Just look for Junk Mail..
