My LCD HDTV looks worse through the HDMI port than component?

I own a 32"LCD Hisense HDTV which I run my XBOX360 through, I recently purchased the select XBOX360 but when I plug it into my telly via the HDMI port the picture quality is worse, predominantly the colouring is all out.
I enjoy tried adjusting everything that xbox.com recommended but next to no joy


Answers:    jump back to component its difficult resolution port you have to chose this alternative on the xbox.
change HDMI cable
