Would a more expensive freeveiw box give a better signal?
Answer:
Not really, but a more expensive aerial probably would.
no its the Ariel you need
To an extent but the more gain you have in front of your box the better. So #1 Big aerial, #2 Masthead pre-amp, #3 High end STB. Oh, and use satellite grade cable (CT100).
No, generally the signal is more to do with your aerial position than the freeview box. However if you find you are not having much luck with freeview be careful not to waste too much money on booster aerials. Our experience has been that these do not generally work. If you're not picking up the channels it's unlikely that you will get a good freeview service full stop. A more expensive box may look nicer but in essence will not do much more than a bog standard cheap one.
No I don't think so - it's all down to the signal where you live and the quality and position of your aerial and aerial cable.

I used to have an old freeview box from when they first came out, I had it a few years and then started to get a bad signal so I bought a new one and now its perfect.
teddbrhd has the best answer here and so I will not overstep him.
it`s the aerial that does the job.!
