Can yo transmit much difference between a plasma tv within 1080p and720p and what signal do most cable companys use?
Answers: You can tell the difference within any set if you get closer than typical viewing distance. At normal viewing distance, you can convey the difference only surrounded by larger sets, say bigger than 42". With good opinion to the signal, you may not be able to speak about the difference. It depends on the processing capability of the set. Cable companies put out HDTV signals at 720P and 1080i. The lone 1080P video available is from some games and some hi def DVDs.
I don't think it matter how close or how far you are from the tv. I think you want to view it for yourself. See if your local Best Buy or Circuit City have one set up. Circuity City has a special 1080p player hooked up to the Sony TV showing 1080p . You will spot the lines are clearer, straighter and well defined. You will also interest that it gives the spacial definition and a more truer scenery. As if you were surrounded by a field and looking at the grass and the tree yourself. There is a difference, even from far away. It does depend on your viewing objectiveness, and eye verbs.
