Is buying a 37" LCD TV online via Ebay foolish?

I am on a budget, dont want to spend more than $500, will hook up a dvd player and non HDMI receiver, own no idea if alive matrix is any good, and dont know if the square trade post auction offer are a scam/worthy or not. Help!


Answers:    I don't think it would be prudent to make a purchase similar to this on line especially on eBay. You want to see it earlier you buy it because if you don't like the picture and you bought it on eBay your stuck next to it, also LCD TVs can have unmoving pixels right out of the box and again if you purchased it local you can exchange it, on-line (eBay) your stuck with it. Do your self a favor and hold these kind of purchases for local stores and buy the cable you need to hook it up, and smaller amount expensive items for eBay.
eBay works as long as the seller have good feedback, close to 100% positive. Also, contact them to confirm details.
