HDTV put somebody through the mill?

I just saw a commercial on tv motto that on feb 17, 2009 all tv will be digital. and it also said that non-digital tv's will no longer work. so does this have it in mind that ALL non hdtv's will stop working?

Answers:    The traditional TV signal transmission ( analogy) will stop from untimely 2009. All signal will be in the form of digital by that time. But your ripened TV sets are still usable. What you need is a set top box ( a digital decoder ) to connect to your TV set and contained by fact every TV set requirements a decoder whether old or current model. Of course, HDTV sets will work the best, but they are still pricey now. Wait till the extension of 2008 to purchase your new set.
Every tv will still work. Tv's short digital tuners will simply require an analog to digital converter box which the government will provide a $40 coupon for.
