Tv industry?
Answers: This is the 2nd time this stupid question have been posted. Don't know if it be you the 1st time. However, you are in the wrong forum!
This is the TV consumer ELECTRONICS forum, where on earth the discussion is centered around technical TV running and electronic questions, and have NOTHING to do with your ask.
I don't even know what forum to send you to, except I don`t know "Business & Finance" or maybe "Entertainment & Music-TV", where on earth they seem to be ready to take a shot at anything TV to be precise non-technical. But as to this forum, go away!
What almost it
People in the U.S. will requirement to convert over in 2009. The costs of the sets are already going down. I deliberate there will be a mild uptick and later a crash as most people that can afford the bright TVs will have the trial TVs and the people that can't afford them will own converter boxes and plenty of obsolete TVs. Also ancestors are watching less TV, but are using the TVs to play more video games. I would lean to 1080P as the standard because of video games and not because of TV stations (which would be unqualified to send those types of signals beside present technology).
There are certain tubes that stipulation to be replaced on certain sets. These replacement tubes cost at lowest $100 and will probably require a TV repair person.
