With DirecTV, is it possible to only just carry the channel(s) you want?
Answers: I really don't think so. I believe that's how they trademark their money. Everyone would love to just hold the cheapest package and tag on on certain channel. If you look at the base box, the channels on their aren't adjectives that great. Probably the same channel you would see at your favorite hotel. I think they put the more popular channel in the pricier packages while adding together a few more fluff channels to engender you think that you're really getting a large amount.
Don't get me wrong I'm a DirecTV customer too and I similar to it much better than cable. I just realize everyone is getting their hustle on and trying to put together more money without providing like mad of services, unless you're willing to money more money for them.
it really depends on the channel you want. Certain ones can be added a la carte, but not masses.
The reason companies set aside packages instead of individual channels is because of the difficulty it would end in with issues resembling troubleshooting. It would make solving Ext 721 messages profoundly more difficult and the billing a lot more confusing.
Try calling customer service and asking if you can supply the channel a la carte. You never know what you can procure until you ask.
