mike has it spot on-monster cable is mostly considered the best HDMI cable you can get-BUT! if the distance between your set and the PS3 is less than 1.5 metres or so next there is virtually no loss-so most cable (only the most inferior need not apply here) will suffice. HDMI will get HD (up to 1080p) and 7.1 digital audio so no worries there.
