Is it true that unbelievably soon I might not seize reception on my outdated outdated T.V.?

Will I have to buy a topical digital T.V., or is there a device that can be installed on my older one that will correct the problem?

Answers:    (This answer assumes you are located in the US)

There is no source to replace your current TV unless it is one of those tiny portables that don't have any course to connect an external antenna or A/V cables.

It is true that the US is varying to an all digital broadcast system. However, digital broadcasts can be cheaply converted to the older analog type.

If you get TV over the atmosphere, you will need a converter box that will set you final about $10 after using a policy coupon. These converters attach between your antenna and your TV.

If you get your TV by cable or satellite, those companies bear care of the conversion for their customers.
As of February 2009, no analog signals will be broadcasted, lately digital. This really only applies to you if you don't subscribe to cable or satellite tv. If you receive your channels OTA (over the atmosphere, or the bunny ears on top of your tv), after you will no longer receive free tv. The goverment is however handing out $40 coupons towards the purchase of an adapter that will correct this issue. Again, if you own cable or satellite, it wont affect you at all.
