Broken lcd tv?

i have a broken 17" lcd toshiba tv about 1 year old. is there anywhere i could get just a new screen or is it just not worth it?

Answer:
If it is cracked you can buy a new LCD panel, but 99% of the time it will cost as much or more than a new TV, especially for an older model like that. Try www.tweeterpartsearch.com, you can find the price and part number for your screen.

ALso, installing one of these is not for the layman. You better get a pro to do it, so facter that into the cost as well.
Did you actually crack the LCD Panel? Or is it just not functioning properly?

If its the panel, generally no.

**ADDED

When you turn it on what happens?
If the panel is truly cracked, it should be either all White, or a partial picture with a point of impact splotch.

Also whats the model number of the unit?

**ADDED

Yea the panel is broken, not worth fixing. Nows the time to upgrade?
