Refurbished tv's?

has anyone ever have any problems with refurbished tv's from similar to Tiger Direct? or ordered from Overstock.com. My husband and I are looking to get a big peak (as big as he can) and we are thinking something from tiger direct may be good. we carry e-mails from them all the time next to really good prices...any opinion?

Answers:    Don't buy a refurbished TV unless you can buy an extended warranty and unless you can afford both. You are in essence buying someone else's problem which may or may not hold been fixed properly.
Buy local, you carry local support and help the cutback.

Your going to wish you have.

Never buy refurbished units, its in recent times throwing money away. Buy a quality part the first time like a Sony, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Pioneer, Panasonic, Hitachi.

Not single will you get dutiful support, excellent picture, very reliable unit. Particularly the Sony line.

If you cannot afford it reclaim up.
