From that information alone, you can be 99% sure that it doesn't have a digital tuner. Keep within mind that you will still be able to use an analog TV after analog broadcasts shut down on 2/17/09. The merely difference is that if you get your TV near an antenna, you will need to buy a cheap (~$20) converter box to hold receiving broadcasts.

The first answer you received is incorrect, you can buy CRT (tube) type DTVs that can tune surrounded by all the digital broadcasts.

If you really want to breed sure your TV has a digital tuner, hold reading:

Digital tuners for over the air signals are call "ATSC tuners".

To tell if your TV have one:

-If the TV was sold as a "HDTV" or "DTV", it's supposed to own an ATSC tuner built in to it. "HD geared up TVs" do not have a digital tuner.

-Check the specs surrounded by the owners manual or google the be paid & model of the TV to see if it has an ATSC tuner.

-If your TV's menu have an option for scaning for digital channel, then it have an ATSC tuner. If it dosen't have a instrument to scan for digital channels, later it doesn't have a digial tuner.

Most DTVs also hold a digital QAM tuner that is used contained by some (but not all) cable systems.
What's the model? How can we just explain to you without any information?

Also, I come up with you want to ask if your TV is a HD or SD. Since you got it for $99, it probably is only just a normal SDTV.
I'm pretty sure your TV does not hold the digital tuner.

Larger screen TVs are required to hold the digital tuner in them, but those are at most minuscule $400-500. Also, all HDTVs that own a tuner will also have the digital tuner but again, those start at in the order of $500.
It is anolog buy a HDTV tunner with a $40 coupon from the political affairs. The cheapest route you got till Feb 17 2009
