Purple Bars On TV??

When I am watching my "big" tv.. I can see purplish reddish bars in the background of the image.. like the refresh rate or whatnot. Could a mirror be knocked out of alignemnt? It is a Hitachi projection HDTV.. They were just re-aligned about 3 months ago.. Thanks for any info!

Answer:
This sounds like a convergence problem, when adjusting
conversion the Red and Blue are aligned to the Green
cross hairs. Check through the menu items on your TV
you should find something that will lead you to convergence
then just move the red line on top of the green (as close as
possible) then do the same with the blue.

Worst case is that there is a component that is going bad
Degaussing may be required or another alignment.

Also, look for your AC cord to be too close to some magentic thing, like a fan or heater.

Taht can cause RF interference.
I have the advantage of seeing your additional details so I can say that it is not convergence or magnetism ! It is almost certain that your x-box is radiating causing RF interference so move the x-box further away and also check its cables ! .
