i have a 15 inch lcd tv that had component inputs. I heard that since it is not widescreen 16:9 i can't get 720p picture on it. I don't know help me out. this is the tv

You can get 720p out of that TV, you will not get widescreen though. Just go into your PS3 system settings and change the resolution to 720p and it should pop up.
