Problem near my DLP Television?
A strange, vertical shaded nouns has developed down the vanished side of my television. It's a Samsung 55 inch DLP, model R5078. Has anyone ever see anything like this up to that time? Do you know how it occured, and most importantly, how to fix it?
I uploaded some pics of it to a page on my website , so you can see what I'm talking roughly. Here is the link

Answers: Your LIGHT TUNNEL is bad.....
And it will not be unproblematic for YOU to do it yourself.....
You need Patience....a Light Tunnel, and Special tools and special skills and special PLANS on how to properly Align the NEW flimsy tunnel.....
That's what TV techs have be trained for....and that's YOUR best bet to get it done right....
<OR>
Wait until some idiot claims he's done it, posts Basic instructions and Tells you it's unproblematic...then you find out you merely broke the NEW Light tunnel or busted the Light tunnel's Adjusters or the Light Tunnel's Housing or the Light Tunnel';s Frame.....
Then you have to Pay for the entire Optical assembly which costs roughly 10 times more....
You don't want to do that.....
Do the SAFE route....Watch out for Captain Thumbs...
If you played a game or departed your tv on the same photo for a long time I know that with DLPs they can own a ghost of the carving burned into the screen. I can't share, but maybe this is what happen. Also, perhaps a bulb burned out? It is a hurricane lantern projection tv, so maybe this is what happen?
We also have a dlp, and I remember audible range when we bought it that these do not last forever. LCD is the instrument to go, it's of late more $$. Even plasma screens can burn.
But I would picture your tv could be fixed. Contact the manufacturer. Or, if you've have it for less than 6 months, call round the store you bought it from and ask about a refund/exchange.
