Setting Up Satellite Dish Query?

I want to set up a dish in my garden to get the Astra satellites.
I can get a clear line of site to 28 degreees south east but how high up do I need to see?
I guess angle of elevation is what I mean.

Answer:
Without using a signal meter, it is difficult; it is a case of trial and error. Somebody needs to watch the screen, while you manipulate the dish. The satellites are in an arc, but Astra @19 degrees (move to the right) is close enough to 28 degrees to pick up on the same elevation angle.
It's between 26 and 28 degrees depending on where you are in the country. Some dishes have the bracket marked.
The angle of elevation depends were you live, the further North you live the greater the elevation.i fixed my by somebody watching the tv and move the dish slowly bit by bit.
Set it up for 28 degrees & take your tv & receiver & a short piece of coax out to the garden with you., then move the dish while watching your signal level. Anytime you think you are close, Make a small mark on the dish or mount. The key is to move slow!
Good Luck.
