PS3 Bluray movie displayed is grainy/blurry on Philips LCD HDTV?
I downloaded some HD trailers via PS3, looked really appropriate.
Is my tv no good or is in attendance some setting i need to adjust??
I also connected a regular dvd player via composite, "crash" movie also still looked close to crap like above.
Any backing would be much appreciated!
Answers: those movie is old, try newer one resembling spiderman3, rataourile. old movie don't shoot near hd camera or process in hd, is not as moral to transfer from non hd to most up-to-date tech. also make you put boom cancel giant in you tv that can aid reduce some gray. also dvd isn't great except surrounded by few movie, you need to get the message hdtv is mainly design for hd, non hd will not look well-mannered. also try get a hd antenna that can display hd local passageway. try netflix or blockbuster rent blu-ray movie.
Hmmm, this question have stumped me. It sounds like you hold the correct wire (hdmi) and are outputting at 720p. If the movie trailers via PS3 look fine, after I would assume the Blueray movies would look fine. I'm NOT convinced there is anything wrong near your equipment, tv, or wires.
I have a interrogate. Can you try playing a Blueray movie again and find the "info" or "display" button on the Phillips's TV remote? This button should display on the tv what resolution the tv is receiving. I'm curious if your PS3 is outputting standard def (480i) when playing a Blueray movie. Your TV should display that it is unloading 720p from your PS3.
I still think within is some setting that isn't right on the PS3. Hmmm...
Those movies must not be recorded surrounded by HD...
That's the ONLY possibility....
