A 42 inch telavision IF YOU HAD the choice?

It depends upon what YOU will be primarily using it for. Casual TV watching? Serious 1080p DVD stuff? Digital cable? Digital HD cable? Lots of fast action, like sports? If I had the choice, because of my use, it's plasma. But yours may well be different.
Well, let's just say this. I have an LCD tv for almost a year now and I love it. I now use it for my computer monitor as well as my tv. Also, my Grandmother has a plasma tv which is also beautiful. I would pick LCD because they are lighter and a small amount thinner. Honestly though, the reason this question is asked so much is because their is really no better one for every purpose. They both have their pros along with their cons. So I will give you a link to a couple of sites discussing this same question. good luck
