Anyone having sky tv signal probs today, arnold nottingham ?

i know its a bit windy but its been worse and still had a decent picture. The picture is breaking up and even freezing completely.
this has been going on for 12 hours now, any advice appreciated.

Answer:
Atmospheric conditions can play havoc with the signal, and the problem area may be miles from your home.

Quite often, though, I have found my Sky digibox freezing or the image "pixellating" on its own for no apparent reason. Sometimes it clears simply by flipping channels. If not, I unplug it from the mains for about two minutes (there is no off switch - only a standby, which does not have the same effect) then plug it in again. It seems to cure the problem in the same way that rebooting a PC cures many ills.

If you do this, remember that it may take another two minutes or so before the box will switch on again after reconnection. I'm not sure what effect it has on the timer function as I rarely use it, so check your schedule screen, especially if you have a SkyPlus box with a built-in recorder.
my freeview keeps breaking up. i'm just waiting it out. i do think its the weather.xxx
