Does anyone know if the panel is just going out or does it need charged with plasma? Had two different answers from the guy at BEST BUY and since they are teens...not too sure if they really know what they are talking about? Do you have any clues as to what could be wrong? TV is only 3 yrs old.

Guys at best buy will do anything to make a sale. I have customers come in all day saying " well best buy said..." , Some times I cant believe they would say such things.

Anyways, no you cannot ''re-charge a plasma'', the display comes as a sealed unit from the factory.
You prolly have a samscum tv, one of the worst brands out there.
Usually I have seen bad display panels, bad circuit boards that control the ignition of which cell is what color/line..etc or a logic board.
that mean that the tv is going out.
