Can you return with Freeview TV reception by using a stand alone above ground?

My Daughter has just come home with a freeview box. Her idea be that she could watch the extra channels within her bedroom. In order for me to route our roof aerial to her bedroom would be a crucial task. Could someone please advice if i be to purchase a aerial (the type that just sits over a TV set) would this be enough to enable me to achieve reception of the available freeview channels?

Answers:    well depends where on earth you are and what kinda signal you have but my two children and i have free belief boxes in the bedrooms and we all use a stand alone satellite dish in each room those cost around lb4.99 and it just works fine
I have a freeview box contained by my bedroom, and I live in a post code that is supposed to hold no reception. I have a 30 GB booster on the ariel that sits on my windowsill and the picture is fine (although if it's windy I lose adjectives the BBC channels). I bought the ariel from our local ASDA for about lb15. it really depnds on where you live.

If you catch a really good signal on your main transmitter then you will be fine with a settop in-flight. If you're like me and live in the middle of nowhere you will own to route the cable through...
