HD Channels on TV are fuzzy?

I just got a Sony Bravia LCD 40 Inch tv near 1080p. I set up the hdmi cable box from time warner and i plugged everything in correct. Then i also plugged in a gluey hdmi cable and i switched the setting on the tv to run the the hdmi cable instead of the component 1. The chanels dont look so clear though for some reason and it looks a little fuzzy. Especially the deep-seated chanels look really fuzzy. Am i doing something wrong? I know it shouldnt be like this, it should be crystal clear. The settings on the cable box are set to 1080i and i changed it to 720p but it didnt do much. Whats wrong?

Answers:    Are you viewing HD channels? Use the "Display" button on your remote control to display the channel/program information. Does it articulate "DTV" and "720p" or 1080i"? If not, you are watching analog channels or digital channels carrying Standard Definition (SD - 480i or 480p) content. You will obligation to contact Time Warner and order HD service to improve your picture talent. Without a HD service, you are going to find that analog and SD content is going to look very blurry/fuzzy on any HDTV. I also find that Sony's KDL-40S4100 & KDL-40V4100 are worse than most other 2008 top tier HDTVs when displaying analog or SD content. I don't know what Sony has done to their video processing contained by these models, but it is much worse than last year's TVs and does not match the reading of their higher end TVs. If this is your TV model, consequently that is also contributing to the fuzziness of the images you are viewing.
