i have been waiting for vizio to release the 505xvt.i hold been waiting since july, its supposed to be a really good plasma for a really polite price. does any body have any info on this? or what would be another good tv to buy plasma or lcd for a correct price. im looking for 50 inch

If you want plasma, you would be silly to grasp anything but a Panasonic Viera. Dollar for dollar, this is by far the best buy for BOTH performance and reliability, and even after sale service, surrounded by a plasma HDTV. But it's you $$$ to throw away if you really want to save a couple of bucks to buy third tier crap.
Generally speaking, in 50", you will find plasma smaller amount expensive that a top LCD, like Sony, Toshiba, Sharp, and Samsung.
